The Task Group for the Synodal Pathway of the Catholic Church in Ireland issued its resources for the next stage of the Synod on Synodality on Monday, 21st November.
Following a Zoom briefing with delegates and representatives from dioceses, groups and associations that submitted a synthesis to the Irish Catholic Bishops’ Conference for the Universal Synod, the Task Group prepared a reflection guide and other resources that would support the next stage of the Synod and the Irish Synodal Pathway.
Adapting the questions raised in section 106 of the Working Document for the Continental Stage of the Synod, which can be found here, the Task Group is now inviting delegates and representatives to read through three documents – their original submission, the National Synthesis, and the Document for the Continental Stage – in a dialogical way, following the steps of the reflection guide.
The resources include:
- a Reflection Guide for the Continental Stage of the Universal Synod 2021-2024
- a Guide for Discerning Pastoral Initiatives and Calls to Action at Local Level
- a Summary of the Working Document for the Continental Stage of the Synod
- PowerPoint Prayer Resource
- a Template for Submitting Group Responses to the Continental Stage of the Universal Synod
- the National Synthesis
- the Document for the Continental Stage of the Universal Synod, Enlarge the Space of Your Tent (Isaiah 54:2)
The resources for delegates and representatives can also be found here or by clicking on the image of the Reflection Guide above. Delegates and representatives are encouraged to submit their responses to the questions in the Reflection Guide by 22nd December 2022 to the General Secretary for the Synodal Pathway of the Catholic Church in Ireland, Ms Julieann Moran, at [email protected]
